The Development Journey of Apollar

Take a look behind the scenes of Apollar’s year-long development journey, from the idea to the upcoming launch.

Building Apollar: A Year in the Making

On 27-10-2024, we officially began the journey of creating Apollar by purchasing our domain. That day marked the start of a project that would grow into something far more exciting than we imagined. Over the course of the past year, development has been an on-and-off process as both developers balanced school with this passion project. Now, as of 4-10-2025, we’re adding the finishing touches before launch.

The Team Behind Apollar

Two people brought Apollar to life:

  • Xazon — Creator of the panel, API, status page, blog, and documentation. You can find more about his work on his website xazon.be.
  • Wakkie — Developer of the Discord bot itself, ensuring that Apollar brings the best possible experience to your server.

Overcoming Challenges

With school commitments often taking priority, progress sometimes slowed down. Despite that, every setback gave us more time to refine ideas, test features, and build a platform we’re proud of. We wanted to strike the right balance between usability, reliability, and a polished experience for users.

The Road Ahead

Right now, we’re putting on the final touches before release. The panel, bot, and documentation are almost complete, and we suspect Apollar will be going live in the upcoming weeks. It’s been a long journey, but the excitement of finally sharing Apollar with the world makes it worth it.

This is just the beginning — stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for launch!
